There are many good things to say about this game (the lore, the character creation, the casual humor throughout the book, etc.), but I most enjoy the method of resolving conflicts in this game.
I am someone who enjoys systems that encourage roleplay. In other roleplay systems, I tend to find one of two things:
1.) An extremely simple, quick “success/fail” system
2.) An extended conflict system, but it only is applied to combat
This game includes a 3 tiered conflict system that stretches the gap, and makes it apply to any type of conflict in a unique way.
Want a quick resolution to a small action, or don’t want to learn a more complicated system? It has that.
Want an extended battle of wits, or a heated debate between two charismatic leaders, or, indeed, a fierce battle in a dark dungeon? It has that.
If this sort of thing appeals to you, I highly encourage you to check this one out.
